Stark County Chapter OGS Mission
Since its formation in 1973, the mission of the Stark County Chapter of OGS has been to bring together all persons with an interest in genealogy as a hobby or as a profession.Monthly Meetings
Chapter meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. in the Mckinley room of the Stark County District Library at 715 Market Ave North, in Canton, OH, on the second Thursday of each month, with the exceptions of the annual picnic in July, the annual banquet in November, and the Christmas break in December. Meeting program descriptions can be found on the meetings page and guests are always welcome.

Hi everyone and welcome to the Stark County OGS website. Well we are now deep into the fall season here and the football season is going full tilt. I hope everyone is having a good time and staying safe. Now to the news. Well if you were one of the folks that filled out a survey and mailed it back to us we really appreciate your input. We now have the results of the survey available for you to look at on the website. You can download it using the link below. If you are still having trouble please use the contact page to send me an email and I can assist you. Like I said before we appreciate all the input that you guys put into answering this survey. We will be using the results of this survey to offer you better services on this site and through our society. Added content and a members only section are two of the things that we saw people really wanted at this site and will be something we working on in the near future. Now don't forget that the new web address is http://www.starkcountyogs.org so make sure to make a new bookmark for it if you use them. You can also get a hold of us through the contact page and also by signing our guestbook. We hope to see you again either on here or in person at one of our monthly meetings. |

Membership
If you or a family member have an interest in genealogy or tracing your family history, you may become a member of the Stark Chapter of OGS. Paid Memberships include attendence at monthly meetings, the genealogy newsletter, The Tree Climber, which is published 6 times a year, and free queries published in The Tree Climber.
